Non-goth hate mail!
It's true.
I got some hate mail about something other than goths. My first clue was that it was rather well written hate mail and was more than just "UR a stoopid pees ov shit u suk balz and i hope u dy" - probably because it was not written by a goth.
There were two emails actually from the same person, both referring to my I Bid You Stand, Men of the West! article. The first....

Quite possibly. Considering the book was written during WW2 and Tolkien always maintained that there was no comparison or relevance or link between his story and real world events, plus the fact he died 28 years before the War on Terrorism, I would say it is pretty clear he never intended it to be a comparison. But I wasn’t giving my opinion on what his opinion was.

A paedophile Persian named Mohammed (piss be upon him) decided to devise a better method for rallying his troops for world domination. And though he was a paedophile, he was a rather wily one, as he saw the advantage in using religion to rally the weak minded to his cause. So he chose one god from the Persian pantheon of gods to be the centre of this new “religion” (Allah, the moon god) and set about creating a new religion he could use to inspire and govern his troops to better, more efficient warfare. Everything he created for this new religion was to make it easier for war and conquest.
Or something like that….

I AM a Muslim, and I live in the United States. First of all, you couldn't be FARTHER from the truth. What right do you have to judge and then insult another's religion?
My right to criticise whatever the fuck I want stems from the fact that in Western society we have the freedom to criticise whatever the fuck we want. That means religions, races, television, music, politicians, education, goths, women drivers, men, women, children, animals, computers, trees, old people, the French (even though that is more a of a duty rather than a right) etc and etc. It is all fair game.
How dare you compare fictional characters to one's revered faith? I don't know where you get your resouces from to state such false accusations or the gall to even publicize them.
Quite easily actually. And my resources were nothing more than The Silmarillion and The Lord of the Rings, knowledge of “actual” history (i.e. history that really happened, not made up, rewritten leftist history - including the origins of islam – something you seem to be rather lacking for someone who reveres it so much) and a laser sharp (like razor sharp, only sharper and better) sense of observation.
And as for the gall to publicise them, see above about freedom. I pay for everything in the running of this site and so I will publicise whatever the fuck I want.
Obviously, you are a young, immmature, biased bigot, and then on top of that, you call yourself "a great visionary"? Who the hell do you think you are to praise yourself for criticizing another's beliefs, faith, and life?

Young – yes. Immature – no. Biased – yes. Bigot – no. But at least you didn’t call me racist, so I am assuming that you at least realise islam is not a race.
And as for everything else, you are just proving my point that islam cannot be trusted in western society as you cannot even grasp our concepts of freedom let alone live by them.
Given, many of these "Muslims" you hear about on T.V. commit hideous crimes, but you CAN NOT group all Muslims together;

I am glad you are able to recognise the hideous crimes committed by some muslims. And I do recognise that not all muslims will commit these crimes. However, I CAN and WILL group all muslims together for the very same reason I will group all leftists and left-leaning individuals together.
Until the apparent “moderate majority” (which I believe does not exist and I have seen or heard NOTHING to make think it does) of muslims stand up and completely and unequivocally denounce the words and actions of the terrorists and terrorists sympathisers, without making excuses like it is all or partially the fault of Israel and America, AND takes actions against them both globally and locally, including shutting down those preaching hate at the local mosque, I will continue to group you all together.
Until you do more than just state “[insert atrocity commited by muslims] is a horrible act and not indicative of islam” without adding “but the Jews/US/Israel/Western world started/contributed to/deserved it” under your breath, I am quite happy to lob you all under the terrorist/terrorist sympathiser label.
Same with leftists. Until the moderates completely denounce the words and actions of the extreme left AND takes action to shut them down, I will continue to treat all left leaning people as leftist scum.
So the ball is in your court – recognise that islam is the problem, not Israel. Recognise that Arafat was nothing but a terrorist and the fact that there are still palestinians left alive to blow themselves up and kill little Jewish children is testament to Israel’s patience and desire for a peaceful solution. Recognise that America is the best hope of bring peace through democracy to the middle east and that freedom is the only way it will be achieved. Do all that and exterminate the terrorists in your midst and I will gladly put up a retraction of the article and will state that muslims are not terrorists and can handle freedom. But I won’t hold my breath.

Again I don’t really give a fuck if you or your faith is insulted. I have the freedom to insult you and your faith and if you don’t like it, you have the freedom to not come to my site and read it. You also have the freedom to write me an email expressing your indignation. And do you know what is going to happen now that you have written your email?
Nothing.
That's right - Not a god damn thing is going to happen to you for disagreeing with me. No declarations that you are to be killed for criticizing me (unlike Mr Rushdie). You are not going to be shot and stabbed to death like Theo van Gogh for saying something not very nice about me. And you are not going to have your head cut off or have your children shot in front of you or be publicly executed in a football stadium or be whipped 85 times for daring to speak out against me.
I hope you realize the actual stupidity of your mistake and the grave and resentful effects it has on people who read it and know that you are FAR from the truth.
You mean the grave and resentful effect like what? Offending people? Boo hoo. Oh no. I don’t want to offend anyone. Have a look at this site. This whole site is designed to offend people.
And as long as elements of your faith permit such things as described in the above paragraph to happen I will continue to ridicule and offend it.
As hate mail goes, I am impressed with how well written this one was...
