Farewell Gipper

Oh what a wonderful weekend it was.

The Great Commie Slayer is dead. That in itself is not so good as we could certainly use a leader of his vision, dedication, and determination right now but just think what this weekend just gone means to leftists all over the world.

Just the thought of leftists and anti-American bigots the world over having to choke on their own bile as they face D-Day and the remembrance of Ronald Wilson Reagan (whom they hated even more than Bush for even more incoherent reasons) filled me with glee. Especially those leftists and bigots in Europe. Just think about that in particular:

Over the one weekend they are smashed in the face with the fact that it was the Americans who led the charge on D-Day in 1944 and were responsible for their freedom from Nazi tyranny, the fact that it was American President Ronald Reagan who was responsible for the tearing down of the Berlin Wall, and the fact that it was American President Ronald Reagan who was responsible for the collapse of the Soviet Union and their permanent freedom from the threat of Soviet communism and tyranny. All those smashes in the face over the course of one weekend.

If anyone has earned their place in that Shining City on the Hill it is Reagan for ridding the world of the most murderous regime to ever plague the annals of history.

Bush must step up now. He must follow Reagan’s example. Reagan said FUCK YOU to the rest of the world over his plan to eliminate the Soviets. Bush must do the same with his plan to eliminate terrorism.

Of course the Left are going to be pissing in their pants that this outpouring over Reagan is going to turn into a landside for Bush. If Bush and any other American believed in what Reagan was fighting and wants to make sure that his victory over the Soviet Union was not in vain, it is their God-Given DUTY to make sure everyone knows that a vote for Bush is a vote for Reagan. Make sure the landslide occurs and that Bush does “win one for the Gipper!”

Bush can never hope to attain the status that Reagan did - nor should he try. What he must do is now is live up to Reagan's legacy and carry it on. And make sure everybody knows that his task is to carry on Reagan's legacy.

If you don’t want a world free from Soviet terror to be taken over by Islamic terror – make sure every vote for Bush is a vote for Reagan.

Reagan’s dream was for a world of Freedom. I don’t think it arrogant or disrespectful for us to say he would not mind us using his name and his death and his memory to ensure that the world free from Soviet terror he created is not overrun by Islamic terror.

"You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done."

It was true with Communism 20 years ago. It is just as true with terrorism now. And I think Reagan knew it would be.

Farewell, Ronald Wilson Reagan. The world and Western Civilization owes you more than we can repay.

And so the Great Communicator passes on. We owe it to him and ourselves to make sure his life's work was not in vain.
